“The Catalyst for Biomedical Discovery”
The students of Biomedical Science at Management and Science Institute (MSI) Colombo, an offshore campus of the MSU Malaysia. has successfully launched its Biomedical Society under the official name “Biomedical In-Act Club” (BIAC) on the 10th of February 2023 which created a memorable experience to all our future scientists. As a formal foundation, this club is determinant to contribute to bridge the space between the discovered and what’s yet to be discovered in this field in hand along with community services programmes in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).

The MSI’s Biomedical In-Act Club (BIAC) is aimed to promote the advancement of Biomedical Science and Technology by encouraging students to engage in Hands on research projects, fostering collaborations and networking opportunities among students and industry professionals, and stimulating the demand among the importance of Biomedical research while reaching The United Nations sustainability goals.
Along with a vision of promoting science, the mission statement of BIAC clearly defines the core goal of this club, in which it is to provide hands on research activities by encouraging collaborations and offering mentorship opportunities. Additionally, to contribute to the advancement of Biomedical Science fields and community services in Sri Lanka.
Many events are to be organized in near future by BIAC-MSI, Colombo, following the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The enthusiasm of our young biomedical students had provoked towards the success of BIAC on-to-date. Aspiring to be a leading transformative global university, MSI Colombo plans to engage the society through entrepreneurship, research, innovation, industry embedment, and holistic education for a better future with the newly launched Biomedical In-Act Club.

Dr. Junainah Abd Hamid, the vice chancellor of MSU for their leadership and the Chief Guest of the event Professor. Dr. Ali Khatibi the courser director and Senior Vice President for Post Graduate – Offshore Campuses of MSU Malaysia and Mr. Sam Peiris, the Director of MSI for inspiring and motivational speeches and our gratitude to Mrs. Wasana Bandara, the lecturer in charge for the Biomedical Science programme for their guidance and leadership as well as all the biomedical science students for their hard works and contribution to success on this event.
